Detail
Sustainably farmed in the pristine waters of Norway, this Northern Halibut is considered a premier farmed fish and of comparable quality to the wild variety. Compared to the California variety, Alaskan Halibut (also known as Northern Halibut) has a higher omega-3 fat content thanks to the colder water, giving it a rich yet mild flavor. With a meaty, firm texture, this fish is best enjoyed grilled, baked, or poached. Thanks to it’s mild flavor, it is also suited for more complex, flavorful seasoned fish recipes. A whole side portion, from which fillets are cut, is a great option when cooking for a crowd and presents beautifully.
– Sold as one full piece of halibut with an average weight of 2.5 lb
– Fresh never frozen
